A joint venture between Alpha and Air Arabia was established in 2007. With Air Arabia as a partner, Alpha has a long-term concession agreement with Sharjah Airport Authority, which has recently been renewed again for a further 10 years encompassing flight catering, terminal retail catering and the capacity for outside catering events.
Alpha has exclusive rights to provide flight catering services across Sharjah Airport up to the year 2030. It services up to 30 airlines operating at the airport including, Air Arabia, Air India, Air India Express, Gama Aviation, private jets as well as military and cargo carriers.
In addition, Alpha operates The Lounge, Sharjah Airport’s newest premium lounge, which provides guests with the ideal space to unwind, work or simply relax away from the terminal’s hustle and bustle. Lounge guests can access all-day dining options, including light bites and a wide range of beverages and kids can enjoy a dedicated interactive play area.
Alpha is HACCP-certified and accredited, and it follows strict HACCP controls and guidelines in association with the international In-flight Food Service Association (IFSA), WFSG, dnata global standards, Sharjah Municipality and food control authorities. It also works in compliance with World Food Safety (WFS) guidelines in the aviation industry.
