SAA Participates in Air Cargo India 2012

Sharjah International Airport participated in Air Cargo India 2012 held in Bombay from 1 st till 3 rd of Feb 2012 at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). The importance of the 4 th edition of this event comes particularly due to the significant international appeal it gained during previous exhibitions, and the world wide participation of international airports, air transport industry representatives and airfreight community.Representing the Sharjah International Airport, Mr. Ali Salim Al Midfa, Director – Sharjah Airport Authority, stated “Sharjah International Airport participation in this international exhibition is part of our business plan for this year to present to the air transport community the latest services and facilities that we offer at Sharjah Airport. This event is also a venue to meet with the air cargo experts and decision makers, including international airports, freight forwarders as well as our partners from all over the world. It is also a chance to exchange views with our partners on the latest developments of this industry.””Our interest to attend the Air Cargo India 2012 comes in view of the importance of India market being a rapidly developing advanced economy and a major commercial partner of the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular.Our participation in such event will reinforce the mutual commercial relations we enjoy with India, and enable both our parties to benefit from existing and future business opportunities. The participants and visitors of this event will also get familiar with the services and facilities offered by Sharjah International Airport to all corporate and individual clients in line with our endeavor to proceed with our ongoing development plans of the Freight and Logistics Center,” Mr. Al Midfa added.“The Air Transport industry is heading towards rapid progress during the next few years, and we are here to meet with the representatives from global and regional air freight partners to exchange our views and the news on this sector to realize the latest challenges that are facing the air freight industry. And accordingly we can develop our business plans to cope with our visions and market needs,” he noted.The Stand of the Sharjah International Airport in the Air Cargo India 2012 represents the cultural & heritage ambiance of the airport architecture besides the modernity of the Airport design, as well as the Freight and Logistics Center. During the exhibition a presentation on Sharjah International Airport facilities was made, and visitors received souvenirs, CDs and booklets about the airport services.
